Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) intrigue me and my colleagues at Science [&] Technology: Vision B.V.. Therefore we researched the related techniques extensively and created VR and AR demos.

An example is our VR 3D panorama viewer for the GearVR, Google Cardboard and iOS. Any android or iOS device can be slid in a Head Mounted Display casing and the user can look around to see the panorama. You could download your panorama using a link or QR code. What makes this demo unique is that, if the panorama is rendered in stereo, it could be viewed in real 3D. It also supported waypoint navigation.

When the Hololens was just released, we researched how accurate the tracking of the device is and how accurate you could measure with it. Moreover, we combined the tracking of the Hololens with our own markers to do more accurate measurements.

For meeting purposes we created an app that shows 3D data downloaded via a QR code on top of a marker.
